CHEMICAL OXYGEN DEMAND

Chemical oxygen demand (COD) is an indirect measurement of the amount of organic matter in a sample commonly used in water analysis. These reagents break down organic matter and oxidise the compounds, creating a demand for oxygen to complete the reaction.
