DETERGENTS

Detergents are surfactant compounds used to clean and remove dirt from surfaces. These agents have a molecular structure that combines hydrophilic and lipophilic regions, allowing them to interact with both water and fats or oils. Detergents work by reducing the surface tension of water and breaking down fat particles, facilitating their removal. Their ability to form micelles helps encapsulate dirt, allowing it to disperse in water.
