The LAUDA Variocool VC 1200 W process and circulation thermostat is designed for precise temperature control of equipment and processes using non-flammable, thermoregulating liquids, especially water or water-glycol mixtures. The unit operates within a temperature range of -25 to +80 °C, with a temperature constancy of ±0.05 K, and features a maximum heating capacity of 2.3 kW and a powerful water-cooled condenser cooling system with a cooling capacity of up to 1.4 kW at 20 °C and 0.34 kW at -25 °C using ethanol. It features a pressure pump with a maximum flow rate of 28 L/min and a maximum pressure of 0.9 bar, inlet and outlet connections with G 3/4' external threads, a filling volume of 8 to 15 L, and an adjustable bypass to limit pressure. Control is via a color TFT screen that allows simultaneous display of actual and programmed values ??and graphically represents the temperature trend, along with an electronic PID controller, an integrated programmer with up to 150 segments distributed across five programs, and a keypad with cursors and programmable keys. It incorporates the SmartCool system for digital and efficient cooling management, electronic liquid level indication, a low-level alarm, a potential-free contact for remote fault signaling, and a standard USB interface, expandable with analog interface modules, contacts, RS 232/485, Profibus, or Ethernet-USB. The unit uses natural refrigerant, has swivel casters for easy mobility, has connections for water cooling, and is designed to operate in ambient temperatures from 5 to 40 °C.
