MISTRACON® STRAINS

Reference strains are microorganisms that are defined at least at the genus and species level and stored in collections held by institutions, thus guaranteeing their genetic conservation. The ATCC® strain deposit is the most internationally renowned collection, which is held by the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC). Scharlau's MiStraCon® strains are from the ATCC® and include strains commonly used in microbiological quality control laboratories in the food, pharmaceutical, water, and clinical sectors. Scharlab is authorized by the ATCC® to produce reference cultures from ATCC® primary cultures through the 'ATCC® Licensed Derivative®' program. The ATCC Licensed Derivative Emblem states that Scharlab, S.L. is licensed to use these trademarks and sell products derived from ATCC® cultures. All MiStraCon® products present a certificate of analysis that guarantees their authenticity, traceability and the number of subcultures made from the original reference culture. See More
