One Reactor, Multiple Scales: Flexibility from 500 mL to 10 L

Laboratory glassware

In synthesis and process development, it is common to work with different volumes depending on the project stage. A single adaptable workstation simplifies scale changes, reduces setup time and makes better use of the available space.

One Workstation for Different Capacities

The complete Afora reactor allows vessels ranging from 500 mL to 10 L to be used on the same structure. Reactors can be exchanged manually, quickly and safely.

With the appropriate accessories, the structure is compatible with DN-100 joints for 500 mL, 1 L and 2 L vessels, and DN-150 joints for 3 L, 5 L and 10 L vessels.

Designed for Stability and Precision

The vessels are made of Schott Duran® borosilicate glass 3.3, a material with high chemical and thermal resistance. The dual structure, featuring high-strength stainless steel support rods, provides stability and keeps the motor aligned with the stirring shaft.

The vessels are available with or without a vacuum jacket. The operating temperature range of −70 °C to +200 °C allows the system to be adapted to processes with different thermal requirements.

A Configuration Adaptable to Every Process With Afora Reactor

The glass lid can be customised for each application. The setup can accommodate condensers, addition funnels, vacuum or inert gas connections, temperature probes and other application-specific accessories.

The zero dead volume discharge valve enables precise draining and offers high evacuation capacity. The structure is compatible with all leading brands of overhead mechanical stirrers.

Greater Productivity with Fewer Setup Changes

Working with multiple volumes on the same base helps standardise the setup and facilitates process scale-up. It also reduces the need for separate structures for each capacity.

The system includes the structure, reactor vessel, lid, shaft, seal and motor coupling. The motor is not included and must be selected according to the application.

Do You Need to Configure a Reactor for Your Process?

Each application requires a specific configuration. Our team can help you select the most suitable capacity, lid configuration, accessories, stirring system and peripheral equipment for your process.
