Packaging optimization for the MiStraCon® microbiological control reference strain line

Scharlab has implemented improvements to the packaging of its reference strain line to reduce environmental impact and optimize resource use.

The primary packaging for the products now consists of a single plastic bag, necessary to ensure the proper preservation and safety of the strains. However, the outer bag and paper instructions that previously accompanied each unit have been eliminated.

In parallel, the company has recently developed a unified leaflet that compiles the instructions for all products in this line, thus reducing duplicate materials. Furthermore, all technical and handling information is available on the corporate website, ensuring quick, up-to-date, and sustainable access.

This measure allows for a significant reduction in the use of plastic and paper without compromising product quality or safety, and reinforces the company’s commitment to continuous improvement and environmental responsibility
