Conductivity is a measure of a material's capacity to allow the passage of electrical current through it. Conductivity measurements are routinely used in many industrial and environmental applications as a fast, inexpensive and reliable method of measuring ionic content in a solution, especially in water quality control. The correct calibration of the cell constant is vital for reliable, reproducible and accurate results.
