CLEAN-UP® Solid Phase Extraction Columns (SPE). Clean-Up® products are geared towards a variety of extractions. This line is composed of ion exchange, hydrophilic, hydrophobic, copolymeric and covalent solid phase extraction columns.
Clean-Up® hydrophobic Columns. Nonpolar or hydrophobic sorbent is composed of a silica backbone bonded with hydrocarbon chains. It is used to extract compounds which exhibit non-polar or neutral characteristics (alkanes, alkenes, aromatic and neutral compounds) out of complex matrices.To enhance selectivity, UCT offers a variety of hydrophobic sorbents. Several chain configurations are available as well as endcapped with all hydroxyl groups functionalized and unendcapped versions that retain some hydroxyl groups making these columns slightly hydrophilic. Characteristics: Average pore size = 60 Å. Surface area = 500 m2/g. Pore volume = 0.77 cm3/g.
